i think it was just about two years ago we had come to a place i guess parts of it we owe to a programme on the tele we had seen both her and me as we drove into the town down to the harbour by the sea high on the upper deck we sat as we enjoyed the light overlooking the whole bay all the boats were lying on their side next to me there was a painting on the wall i cast a glance looking pretty well familiar and enchanting both at once merry christmas mr moffatt thanks again for the stormy sky merry christmas, hope you'll have it maybe next year we'll come by then at home just before christmas i had one of these ideas when i was writing the email it seemed stupid and unclear well of course was the response and as a package it was sent i think she even cried and i was happy too cause i had made a friend now it's hanging on the wall filling the room with grey and blue i better start saving cause i want to have one too

i am here this is my place and i don't intend to leave this god given space some people never worry some people never care somebody once said to me i'm happily unaware i like you you like me too i just hope you know what you do why would you ever bother what does it even mean why would anybody ever come between and every time when the stars align things are different but we're doing fine a little laugh and a little cry life goes on and we are still fine where do you come from? where do you go? we are all from somewhere what do you know? somebody thought a question of something you don't know makes up for the lack of knowledge and you're free to go every time when the stars align things are different but we're doing fine a little laugh and a little cry life goes on and we are still fine life is hard no matter what not always starting with perfect cards some people never wonder some people just ignore some of them never ever ever deplore another time when the stars align things are different but still we're doing fine a little laughing and a little crying but nothing more to say except we're fine

moonlit the night as she lay on the side of her bed not sleeping clang round her pillow as fast as she could she was softly weeping the clock turned from two to three noone had come to see no knight from a noble house would be her spouse out in the greens of the forest it seemed not a move was rendered one thing she hated to be bound to wait just because of her gender the clock turned from three to four and still no knock on the door it was just like every night and still he might show up this time then she got up grabbed the boombox and left but a note on the table i won't wait for chance gonna get me a prince make a good end to this fable the clock turned from four to five she was gonna be a wife but not to the bloody first douchebag that came through her window the clock turned from five to six the neighborhood princes are pricks no lady should wait to be abducted i'm not a bimbo that's just fairytale syndrome

for the longest time we have been working off our asses with absolutlely no result the outcome has been quite a dissappointment fighting anger by default but all of the time thinking it's so hard come on board we're about to start it's so easy once you're on the radio that is what i'm talking about come and watch the money flow oh so many years life has been obnoxious and the prospect never was too good something has changed (and) come within our range finally we're understood always one step ahead of the removal finally we get all of the approval it's so easy once you're on the radio that is what i'm talking about come and watch the money flow going through a lotta drama everything's bound to karma end of the train go on and play it again while i slip into my pyjamas always one step ahead of the removal finally we get all of the approval it's so easy once you're on the radio that is what i'm talking about come and watch the money flow going through a lotta drama everything's bound to karma end of the train go on and play it again i am naughty don't you tell my mama going through a lotta drama everything's bound to karma end of the train go on and play it again while i slip into my pyjamas

Bruises 04:07
it's the way that you percieve it you feel the world has been there waiting about i'm always keen to disagree with never waiting to be found time will never take excuses time might never let you down time will heal all of your bruises but time won't save you if you drown we're not alone by implication we want to savour every bit of all there is you say it's all self-preservation you say you won't be missing out on something like this time will never take excuses time might never let you down time will heal all of your bruises but time won't save you if you drown time will never take excuses time might never let you down time will heal all of your bruises but time won't save you if you drown time will always be your master time won't hold you when you cry time won't love you if you ask her time won't sing a lullaby but i'll

look around do you feel the nature of a sound, radio or laser? slow and fast, think of the exponent die or last decides the sigma component and everything's in ongoing revolution of varying or constant frequency solution we spin around as the order changes we're decaying strings that's where it begins the complexity of things once you know the meaning of the sentence around you go, a radical is the entrance on your watch the hands are irritating very much the way they rotate until they stop and everything's in ongoing revolution of varying or constant frequency solution we spin around as the order changes we're decaying strings that's where it begins here's where it begins the complexity of things discovering reality a symphony of relative momentum here's where we draw the line between real and imaginary but never mix it up with fantasy cause that ain't coming with respect to time or any other entity thus we're taking transforms cause we know that we will find what stands behind the sinusoid and everything's in ongoing revolution of varying or constant frequency solution we spin around as the order changes we're decaying strings that's where it begins here's where it begins the complexity of things always in the sunshine our heroes die usually at half pi

somewhere around western sands uncharted grounds there was a small forgotten town within the plains without property or names i met you one time around dreams were all you had on you along with lack of sanity one day you will drown oh one day you will go down one day you walk right back into our town as we became the kings of the plains i trusted you inside my bed when i was unsound you knocked me down took from me everything i had dreams are all what's left to me and the craving for revenge and somewhere within the dusty boots and flashy rust i knew that something wasn't right and somewhere in between carpet and firescreen something was hiding from the light dreams were strong and colourful nothing was standing in the way one day you will drown oh one day you will go down one day you walk right back into our town

Long Enough 04:21
clarity is a state of mind pure and seldom, hard to find and when the curtain is about to fall take it with you when you follow the call looking back i have never been really satisfied the way i see because i always do which is amiss see a thing for what it actually is how long is too long? how long is long enough? we all wanna have someone to have with us when things get rough maybe now i can finally admit i made mistakes i know i did i shouldn't have been so cynical and late regret is stereotypical how long is too long? how long is long enough? we all wanna have someone to have with us when things get rough i just wanna be somebody's someone but so far i just end up being my own me

pure improvisation not as good as advertised ain't what you imagined and i wouldn't be surprised have you heard my russian ever seen me at a game people come and go but our strengths will stay the same put me in cold water i'll do a little less than fine but let me tell you baby you've got to see me when i shine i am bad of an actor so i always tell the truth i always tex the chapter that's why i don't end up confused i dug through all of the medicine until i got to dsp and finally i knew how motherf###ing cool i'd be tossed into the unknown you will only see me tryin but let me tell you baby you've go to see me when i shine when you read them to me all the stories you create without any effort i could ask you on a date all you put into that i admire your concern sometimes when i'm drifting i get lost between the words asking you to count them would be completely out of line cause let me tell you baby gotta have seen you when you shine

Just The One 03:09
two silly lovers in loving colors spent a summer in the barley in sunny weather seemed like forever then went off to join the army when he got on the train she stood aside smiling in pain all fell apart as the engine was started she knew that he was just the one over the years on different frontiers none had heard from the other and when they al- most could not recall memories were rediscovered just a letter that he found and at her feet just a picture of him that had fallen down good were the days summer walks and cafes and he knew that she was just the one now it appears that the world is in tears cause she knew that she was just the one that has been some time ago neither of them had seen it coming pick up the phone make a call to her home cause you know that she was just the one drop him a line do the right thing this time cause you know that he was just the one

it's always been the same a shallow and a frame and lots of cueing and when the world has fled the shell i will ring your doorbell to see how you're doing know how you amaze me and that drives you crazy it's something to do when i am a kid see me running in the rain out of it put my money on a train take a sip it will pull me back again wanna believe ain't nothing to see here try to believe have you ever seen me fly madness in the eye headfirst through the canvas will you still be a friend to me and maybe even see me through the stratus know how you amaze me and that drives you crazy you and me, too when i am a kid see me running in the rain out of it put my money on a train take a sip it will pull me back again wanna believe ain't nothing to see here when i am a kid see me running in the rain snap out of it, i am this close to insane totally legit if you put me on the chain but still far from breaking apart

Ever 03:27
i see the snowflakes on your hair see my breath in the air and behind i see the entrance of the fair i keep my fingers crossed close my eyes what is the cost but all innocence is lost all innocence is lost and through the alleyways the ignorance is slowly pushing in sugarcoated overkill and i remember that it used to be my favourite season can you repair a thing that ill i wonder if we ever will inside me a feeling these wounds aren't healing standing amidst the scene is too revealing and once again i close my eyes and i wish that i could snap right out could i lose that feeling and through the alleyways the ignorance is slowly pushing in sugarcoated overkill and still i know that they are ruining my favourite season can you repair a thing that ill i wonder if we ever will it is the bigotry the way that this can be is such a travesty and i don't wanna know how you end up like that just fucking up your head just like your brain is dead and i don't wanna know i'm gonna dig a hole i still got heart and soul i'm gonna lose control and i will bring you down i'm gonna lose control i'm gonna lose control i'm gonna lose control i'm gonna lose control and through the alleyways the ignorance is slowly pushing in sugarcoated overkill and i remember that it used to be my favourite season can you repair a thing that ill i wonder if we ever will and through the alleyways the ignorance is slowly pushing in sugarcoated overkill and i remember that it used to be my favourite season can you repair a thing that ill i wonder if we ever will

about

Ah, the new one.. I wrote and recorded Complexity in 15 days, one song every day. The whole thing was meant to be an experiment and the songs turned out to be very different from each other. It were days of high energy and I'll absolutely have to try this again..
Stylewise, I have taken a turn towards pop music with a pinch of folk. Another thing to mention is the album's dynamic range classifies as DR12! :)

about

Michael Ellis Oldenburg, Germany

I was born in 1983 and began my musical career at the age of six when I first took violin lessons. On my ninth birthday I got my first electric guitar and I have been playing rock and roll ever since. Over the last years I have recorded several albums and ep‘s (17 altogether I think) containing lots of musical styles from acoustic folk music via progressive rock and songwriter to pop and rock. ... more
